Update Student Information

At times it is necessary to contact parents during the school day. It is very important to have current information. If you have changed your name, address, telephone number, added a cell phone, changed jobs or health issues like asthma, inhalers, epipens, food allergies, etc., please call the school office to update this very important information.

Student Absences

If your child is going to be absent or tardy, please call the school office and let us know. The school number is 857-4680. If we do not receive a call the office will make a follow-up call to verify the absence.

Student Drop Off/Dismissal Safety
At the end of the school day, students are expected to go home immediately. No supervision is provided on the playground or school grounds after 3:00 pm unless students are enrolled in the CLC program.

For the safety of students and drivers and for efficiency in the school parking lot, please honor the following procedures for the drop off and pick up of students:

Cars may pull alongside the curb for drop off/pick up only. Drivers should remain in their vehicles so there is a consistent flow of traffic. If you need to get out of your vehicle to come into the school, please park your car in the designated parking spaces in our parking lot. Always use extreme caution when pulling into or backing out of a parking space. Please DO NOT double park on the city street.

Remind your children to look both ways in the parking lot. Even though it is not a street, cars are coming and going, so looking left and right for traffic is important.

Above all, please demonstrate courteous driving and patience. You want to be a good role model for your children.

Thank you for helping to keep our students safe!
  • Weather Information
The Minot Public School District’s weather committee makes the decision to cancel school, delay starting time, or begin school at the regular time. In the event that a severe storm occurs during the day, children will be kept at school until parents pick them up or until after the storm subsides. Parents reserve the right to keep children at home or pick them up early from school.
  • Winter Recess
We use temperature and wind chill to make the determination on outside recess. If the air temperature is -5 and below or the wind chill is -15 and below children stay inside for recess.

SchoolBlocks offers a unique and powerful personalized search system. A member of the public, searching for "homework" might see an announcement from the school as the first result. However, if the user is logged in, they would see their teacher’s latest homework assignment as the top result.
